Part of Education
Educational and methodological work at the university is carried out by the education department through planning, organization, monitoring, coordination of educational activities, and quality control.
The activity of the educational department is based on the normative legal documents of the republic in the field of higher professional education, which reflect all the content of the quality of education.
The structure of the education department includes the Methodological Council, the Department of education, the Department for quality control of Education, the Department of enrollment the Credit System of education, the Department for internships and Work with young specialists, the testing center, preparation department.
The course of study in the full-time department at the bachelor’s degree (4 years), master’s degree (2 years), and doctorate (3 years) is carried out according to the credit education system. In part-time or distance learning, students are enrolled in distance education (4 years), and education for obtaining a second higher education (3 years). Education in academic groups is conducted in the official languages, Russian and English.
Part of the educational department focuses its activities on planning, organizing, monitoring, coordinating educational activities, and controlling the quality of education by the minimum requirements of the content of the educational programs for the specialties of the university.
Determination of the main directions for improving efficiency, development of a list of qualifications, development of draft plans for educational work, schedules of the educational process, reporting conclusions based on the results of credit and examination sessions and final certification, development of recommendations for searching new teaching methods, improving the quality of education and the phased introduction of a credit-distance learning system, coordinating the activities of specialized departments and directorates of faculties in organizing and conducting educational work, production and pre-diploma practices are priority areas for the work of the education department.
The methodical council, the work of the first deputy, the vice-rector coordinates educational affairs, gathers new and experienced teachers and scientists, and the process of education and its quality and effectiveness by ensuring the method of the process of educational activities. Educational programs (syllabus), educational and methodical guidelines, and university textbooks are published after the review and recommendation of this Council.
Within the framework of the decisions adopted by the Methodological Council and the requirements of the newly approved regulations, the educational part has several times over the last years the project “Minimum content requirements of the content of the State Educational Standard of Higher Vocational Education of the Republic of Tajikistan on popular university specialties”, educational plans of the form of full-time education, distance education, second higher professional education, developed educational plans for bachelor, master, and Ph.D. academic degrees, which were approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Improving the material and technical base of this knowledge base can be considered one of the indicators of the progress of the university. The university began its activity in 1992 in the city of Khorog with one educational building, and today training is carried out in 4 educational buildings. The gradual provision of the material and technical base contributed to an increase in the number of specialties, departments, and faculties. The university has 9 faculties and 21 departments, and trains specialists in 57 specialties. Specialized audiences, educational laboratories, and modern information and communication technologies are widely used in the educational process. At the same time, 67 classrooms, 9 laboratories, 381 computers, 77 laptops, 32 monoblocks, 130 printers, 49 projectors, and 24 electronic whiteboards are used by students.
In December 2020, the university passed the next State Attestation by the Agency for Control in the Field of Education and Science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and by order of the Director of the Control Agency in the Field of Education and Science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan (from 25.12.2020, No. 336) became the owner of the “Permit” ” on the promotion of educational activities (T-IF No. 0000109) until 12.25.2025 (from 12.25.2020, No. 139). According to the appendix of this License, the university was authorized for 57 bachelor’s degrees, 16 master’s degrees, 8 Ph.D. degrees, and 10 short training courses. In August 2021, the university passed the next State Accreditation by the Agency for Control in the Field of Education and Science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and by the order of the Director of the Control Agency in the Field of Education and Science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan (from 02.08.2021, No. 561) has a “Certificate” ” on state accreditation (T-AD No. 0000373) till 02.08.2026 (from 02.08.2021, No. 84).
Based on the order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 923 dated 04.07.2007 on «The transition of institutions of higher professional education to a single space of global education”, the university was fully transferred to the credit system of education in 2015. To periodically switch to this system, academic work programs (syllabus) related to the academic subjects of the semesters have been prepared by the faculties. Based on the decision of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 254, 29.04.2009 “On the approval of the State Education Development Program of Tajikistan for 2010-2015″ and the order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 923, 04.07.2007 ” The transition of institutions of higher professional education to a single space of global education” in the 2015-2016 academic year, taking into account the material and technical base of the university and the national identity of students, the university launched a special credit education system for all popular specialties of the university. All full-time and distance learning courses are taught according to the credit system.
Every year, training courses for teachers on the implementation process of the credit education system, the distance education system, the use of modern technology in distance education, the use of information technology and the electronic board, the spelling of the Tajik, Russian and English languages, the regulation of documentation and the mastering of regulatory documents is legally conducted.
The full-time course of study is carried out according to 3 curricula. Curriculum for students in grades 3-5 with one credit equal to 24 hours (2018), a new curriculum for students in grade 2 (2021), and a curriculum of a new type (2022) for students in grade 1 course divided into sections and divided into modules. Also, students of the correspondence department study according to 2 curricula, 2-4 courses in distance mode and 1 course according to a new type of curriculum, which is one credit – 24 hours and is divided into sections and modules.
Over the years, in the position of vice-rector were Mukbilshoev Maksudsho, Kalandarbekov Isomerbek, Saboev Salomatsho, Alimshoev Mamadriso, Nekkadamov Shirinbek, Shoziyoev Shahkarim, and now Goibnazarzoda S.M. is working as a vice-rector in this position.
