Department of Physical Education

The Department of Physical Education was founded in 1992. Currently, 4 senior teachers Asanshoeva S., Sultonshoev N., Marodbekov A. and Muborakshoev A., as well as 11 assistants: Gadomamadov G., Kurbonaliev N., Karimdodov A., Rakhmatulloev A., Shirinov Sh. , Shobekov M., Vatanbekov S., Gulomrasulov Kh., , Azimshoev R., Nasriddinov Sh.

The department of physical education works in the specialties 1-030201 – physical education, 1-030202 physical education and initial military training.

  The labor activity of the teachers of the department is aimed at teaching and educating students and developing physical culture.

The Department of Physical Education is engaged in the improvement of physical education not only at the university, but also outside it. Under the guidance of the teachers of the department, various groups and teams have been created at the university, which participate in various sports events of the region and the republic and win prizes.

In 1999, the national team of KSU took the 1st place in chess, volleyball and athletics at the first women’s sports contest.

In 2001  the first sports contest of Tajikistan in Dushanbe city, students of the male and female teams of KSU named after M. Nazarshoev won prizes in volleyball and athletics. In May 2002, in Dushanbe city, there was held a youth sports day of the Republic, where the students of the faculty took place in 12 sports and in the team standings with 971 points came out on the 2nd place in the Republic.

It should be noted that in honor of the 15th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, students of KSU named after. M. Nazarshoeva received 6 gold medals, 8 silver and 14 bronze medals. In 2005, at the Spartakiad of the universities of the Republic, the volleyball team (women’s and men’s was awarded 1 gold medal, 2 silver and 2 bronze).

For 30 years of their work, the teachers of the department published 4 books, 20 articles in the field of physical culture and sports. During this time, the graduates were awarded the title of master of international class (3 people), master of sports of the Republic of Tajikistan (42 people), candidate master of sports of the Republic of Tajikistan (34 people) and more than 145 sportsmen.

 During these years, the department was headed by Dzhumaev Sh. (1992-2000), Asanshoev S. (2000-2019), Muborakshoev A. (2019-2021), Kurbonaliev N. (2021-2022). Currently, the department is headed by Barotov A.M.
