Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Teaching Methods
The Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Teaching Methods was formed as part of the Department of Philosophy in 1994. Since September 1996, the department has separated from the Department of Philosophy and continued to function as an independent department.

The Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Teaching Methods works in the following specialties: 03040203 – social pedagogy, 1-030302 speech therapy, 1-030302-0, defectology and 1-0303-02 deaf pedagogy, typhlopedagogy and olegophrenopedagogy at the undergraduate level.
The department carries out its activities within the framework of the law and other legal norms in the field of higher – vocational education. The teaching staff of the department conducts scientific research in the direction of pedagogy, psychology and teaching methods.
During the 30 years of the existence of the department, teachers of the department have published a huge number of textbooks and monographs that cover various problems of pedagogy and psychology. According to the results of scientific work, the teachers of the department published 2 monographs, 6 textbooks, 2 curricula on pedagogy and psychology, 2 methodological manuals
Teachers of the department also actively participate in seminars and scientific conferences, both in Tajikistan and abroad.
The department closely cooperates with the Institute for the Improvement of Teachers of GBAO named after T. Nazarshoev, the Tajik National University, the Tajik Technological University, the Tajik Pedagogical University named after S. Aini in Dushanbe, with a branch of the State University named after. M. Lomonosov in Tajikistan,.
The department operates circles “Young teachers” and “Young psychologists”, which make a huge contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel in the field of pedagogy and psychology.
At different times, the department was headed by: senior lecturer Khujamriev Kh. (1996-1998), senior lecturer Nozimov S. (1998-2011), researcher Djumaeva B. (2011-2016). From 2016 to the present, the department is headed by researcher Kadamov K.
