The department of the history of the Tajik people was established in 2005 on the basis of the department of general history. The first head of the mentioned department, doctor of historical sciences, professor Sobirova K.D. (2005-2013),then candidate of historical sciences, docent Mirzoashrafov P.I. (2013-2022). Now the head of the department is senior teacher Alinazarova K.G. is responsible.
Currently, 2 associate professors Saidasanov Yu.Sh, Fayruzshoeva O.S, 2 candidates of historical sciences Mirzoashrafov P.I. , Abdurahmonova P.D are teaching students at the department and one candidate of law sciences Khairov F.M, 5 senior teachers, Mansurova O.S , Shodmonbekov Y.R, Alinazarova K.G, Zanjirbekova G.I, Paishanbieva S.M, 13 assistants Azizmamadova M.M, Abdurahmonova N.A, Nasilobekova S.S, Saidrahomov N.S, Dilshodova Sh.N, Abdulloeva F.N, Imamnazarova U.A, Navruzova Z.N, Saidanoeva N.M, Chorshanbieva M.Z, Alikhoniyon Kalandarbek, Mukhtorzoda Ahror Mukhtor, Mastonshoeva F.R and one laboratory assistant , Davlatova M.Kh are ingaged.
Department of history of the Tajik people operates as a specialized department for the specialities of social work 1-860101, history and law , 1-010102 at the bachelor’s level and history and law 1-010102 at the master’s level.
The Faculty of the department conducts scientific research in the field of history and law. According to the results of scientific work, 4 monographs, 12 books, more than 5methodological manuals, 4 patents, 300 scientific articles were published by the teachers of the department.
Department has close connection with Dangara State University , National University of Tajikistan, State Pedagogical University of Tajikistan named after S.National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, University of central Asia in the city of Khorog and the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences of the Tajik academy of Sciences named after Bahodur Iskandarov .
